Since 2005 we deal with Health Communication and Social Marketing (SM)themes.
We have developed a focus area on Social Marketing on our website - http://www.dors.it/marketing_sociale/- with the aim to collect and disseminate documents, publications and experiences on the use of SM in Health Promotion.
We think that SM is an useful tool that can be used to make health promotion projects and interventions more effective.
The main MS features (attention to the target and its needs, the change theory -benefits and barriers- and an accurate planning and evaluation)
are essential to promote health habits and behaviours, both at individual and at social level.
